The $1650 Invitational Tournament is probably one of
the oldest and best local APA tournaments around. In past years it has been
hosted by the Bear Paw, the Aloha Station, the Locker Room, the Longhorn and
now with the new shortened schedule, the Halftime, Rodders and the Best Bet
(later to move to The Amazon.
The schedule has been changed to 11 weeks held concurrently at three
locations. Each week, participants earn points for playing and finishing in
the top spots. The top 32 point winners at the end of the 11 weeks are invited
to participate in the finals for a total purse of $1650. The entry fee is $5
each week, 100% of which is returned to the weekly field. Payback is
determined by the number of contestants.
